rhebbar : " why on earth would anyone trust a news source funded by the russian government? "

I don’t think it’s really about saying which media is more transparent, or objective etc. I wouldn’t for example trust rt on the covering of the political situation in russia.
In another hand it is obvious that on some subjects, the pressure on a russian media is different from what it is for western medias.
So it’s not about judging who are the good medias or the bad ones, it’s more about measuring the contents along with the interests behind the groups producing them.

Talk about A *JOKE*! Now we in the U.S. get the BBC American edition news -- like we in the U.S. need another Western imperialist propaganda "news" outlet to say the very same thing CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, Fox (of course, even worse as the propaganda "news" channel of the Tea Party!), *PBS* (propaganda aimed at a college-educated audience who thinks that without commercials it *must* be true), etc., tell us -- only I guess we Americans are supposed to believe from the BBC that if the "news" is said in a proper British accent, then it *must* be true.

But David and rhebbar don’t say a word about the British *government*-sponsored news & entertainment network (the BBC); they don’t say a word about the U.S. *government*-sponsored news & entertainment network (PBS).

But, anyone with a brain should be watching/listening/reading to more than one source of news and more than one country’s news outlets, stations, channels, and internet sources, anyway -- and compare and analyze what ’they all’ (numerous different ones) have to present/say, anyway. I even listen to the sheer WESTERN PROPAGANDA that the American commercial/PBS TV networks have to say, so I know at least 2 things: (1) what they are willing to *admit* that day, and (2) what they still want us to *believe* that day -- i.e., all this, outside of the pure *fluff*).

[ Now to be honest, I never appreciated the too many *crrr-rrrazy* Libertarians (capital "L"; different from small "l") interviewed on RT (the network who’s motto is "Question more!", not less) -- Libertarians who always rail about "government being the enemy", yet have *never* gotten on the American capitalist’s news networks and who wouldn’t have seen the light of day on national/international TV if they hadn’t been on a Russian *government*-sponsored news network -- like that *totally mixed-up* and *politically confused* Libertarian (it was time to get rid of him) "Adam vs. the Man" guy who used to have a show on RT. ]
Joseph Anderson, Berkeley, CA May 11, 2012, 04:40
But, only on RT has -- on a national/international TV news network -- American police brutality ever been extensively shown, reviewed and criticized -- and even resulted in further investigation into the lies that the police have told and filed in their "official reports"!

Only on RT has Israel and even Zionism ever been criticized and those crazy, homicidally racist, glass-eyed, right-wing, religious fundamentalist Israeli settlers been shown in all their graphic ’glory’ (these are THE ABSOLUTELY NUTSO ISRAELI RACISTS that Western TV *never* show) -- although still not nearly enough.

Hillary Clinton doesn’t take RT to be "a joke". She even officially said from her State Department office on the American TV news that RT is much more successful in the public/international reception of RT’s news than the American TV news networks. Geee, I ’wonder’ why?
Julian assange is such a brilliant man. really dont understand why he’s on this joke of a news site.

What joke sites should he go on, CBS, Fox (British state run)BBC?
as i’ve said numerous times (because you clearly didnt read my entire comment) Western media is as reliable as RT. why on earth would anyone trust a news source funded by the russian government? because we all know that there is absolutely no censorship in russia.....get your head out of the sand my friend. you basically have the choice of trusting pro western media outlets or pro kremlin media outlets. both are BS and both have an agenda. and believe me its not to seek the truth.

The Chernobyl Catastrophe. facts and evidence show it was a full scale sabotage against the former USSR, which resulted in collapse of the world superpower. "The Chernobyl power plant was blown up by a foreign agent!"

Yet more(dis)infomation from the pro-nuke lobby?

rhubarb aka “rhebbar”,

In 2010 RT made very futuristic analysis of Obama’s Regime the stated beyond shadow of the doubt:

“Obama will intensify drone-killing people around the globe and in the USA Obama will enact a law which will let him to detain Americans indefinitely without any judicial overview and even kill any American anywhere he considers dangerous”… CNN ABC BBC MSNBC REUTERS AP called RT irresponsible fear mongers.

On the 31st of Dec 2011 obama signed NDAA which is exactly gave him those powers! He has already killed few Americans in Yemen using drones. The weapon of a coward!

RT was absolutely correct, again correct!

What do you say?
