you dont live in a free country? just because the government may or may not be spying on a couple of facebook posts. why cant anybody in the world just appreciate what they do have instead of complaining about what they dont have. especially americans. we should all be thankfull to live in what is the best and most successful nation in the history of the world. if your so worried about your data being tracked, maybe you shouldnt be doing things that would justify tracking your data, or just avoid sites that track your data

I understand how people could feel comforted by the internet in terms of ability having to do with communication during times of civil unrest, but what I don’t understand is why we feel we must rely on this medium to be able to change our circumstances. The internet on many levels can aid a population in revealing information, educating people, and collaborating organization but on the other hand, when people use this as their primary way of doing these things it also leaves space for interception and manipulation. I fear that people have become so attached to their technology that they have forgotten the power we have without it. Imagine if everyone boycotted the internet and turned off their phones for a week? The government/corporations would realize just how little power they have without us willingly giving them information. There aren’t enough drones to watch everyone, but there are enough smart phones ;)

Hmmm.
A gun is still cheaper than a computer.
A tank is cheaper than wiring a city with cables.
Creating laws from scratch, is cheaper than calculating encryption.

In 2005 Identification laws where made in the country where I live. In the 1980’s, all cattle was chipped for identification. Several genocides amongst our cattle have already been committed.

Who is the enemy?
...
All these leaks, and the enemy not even named?
Playing smart, without common sense.

I hope this Hamilton Byrne story is incorrect. Would be great if mister Julian would answer these accusations.

Pedonazi’s, what’s so funny about the Rockefeller financed Kinsey results?

Mr Assange , we thank you for bringing a new and informative aspect in media. We love you so much. Did you know that citizens from Africa also support your cause for a free world where expression and justice are principles that are accorded to every one. Continue with the good work. We shall be winners as people at the end of the day.
Greetings from Kampala Uganda

You talked about the last free living people. Because they will eventually and most definitely be permanently on the run from totalitarianism. For now these people are allowed to use cryptography to chase a dream. The object of the world governments/banksters etc. is to remove obstacles in the way of their plans for humanity. The Internet is damaging their cause. They must have damage control. This is just the beginning. Internet exclusivity is their goal. The privileged few that have a license will be allowed access. Like anything else, privileges has costs.

Use your best friend Google, for the time being, and behold the wealth of information returned in milliseconds.

I found this particular session with JA very lacking in real consumable content for a wider audience outside of those individuals actually engaged in the discussion, who seemed to be preoccupied with showing their own apparent intellect. In fact, from what I’ve seen so far from JA on RT, he is catering to a minority group of elite intellectuals and obviously has no interest in reaching the average Joe. I will continue to observe.....for amusement.

Hi, really been enjoying the JA interviews, makes a change from the main stream media’s tripe...
Shame the interviews aren’t a little longer though...you just settle down and get into it and it’s over. We need more interesting TV, maybe he should set up his own network!

I was hoping that the group would broach the subject of alternate methods or devises during government shut downs of internet servers. For example, even if web users were reduced to snail mailing each other phone numbers to call a alternate "deep-blue" computer via dialing through an old modem and land line connection.
We might as well plan ahead!
