Very good programming. RT News is head and shoulders above most other 24 hour news channels.

I confess I experienced a certain amount of intimidation trying to hang out with geniuses discussing computer codes and unsolvable math problems. Perhaps a couple of shots of whiskey might have alleviated that. But, I am also well aware of the need to raise the bar for common knowledge if we are to meet the challenges of our techno-society. In this way, we move closer to that critical mass necessary to change the global consciousness. Thank you Mr. Assange and your guests for the vision and the courage to attempt to do just that. And maybe I will try to engage some friends in a discussion about unsolvable math problems.

Behind "power consumption and energy efficiency needs", COMSAT integrated with Lockheed Martin as one of the world’s largest defense contractor is ready to fully impl. IPv6 as faster and wider broadband comm. internet, mobile, sat all together - the same time redesigning R&D in chip, cable, hub etc. Now, officially, we’ll get faster and wider internet, smart grids, sat&cable networks, full connectivity with HD vid and VOIPs and backdoors legally recognized as comm. eq. standards. That’s the point. Bear in mind, the origins of ARPANET and that HW "backdooring" is not a new idea, already dev. and imp. by all Israeli and Chinese tech vendors who’re selling wwide. is.gd/u8Ozoy
One of solutions are to go client based crypto. The other one, a better alternative to reclaim privacy and online freedom might be RF based indep. network in a use of internet, something as wireless TOR, if you can get the idea easily. Simply creating a new corruption-free playground for all who cares.
What i’d like to see more in your show is a connection of 1% bankers with the artificial hype of "terrorism" that makes them more wealthy and the world more insecure place, changing term of private anonymous online user to consumer. It’s economics and it always was, no matter if it’s gold, oil or just raw unrefined information.

"it is meant to stimulate thought and interest, specifically political activism "
It is not possible to do that effectively with an unfocussed, jargon filled half hour of television
"it really isn’t about teaching people how to use a pgp key; you are supposed to take the initiative and learn to be a real computer user and not be used by the computer and its lackeys for income"
Who says so ? There are millions of "real computer users" who know little or nothing about using public key cryptography properly.
How difficult would a few program notes with web links to relevant online resources have been, just like many other other professional media websites offer ?
"the key point is that it IS possible to do true privacy, but you have to work at it, learn the ropes, the jargon, etc."
Ordinary people should not have to overcome such barriers to exercise their fundamental human rights.
"would you say this episode is not inviting enough to the average person? I think it lights up a door many did not know exist..."
The fact that this episode has not generated any headlines in other news media outlets, perhaps because of its inaccessibility and lack of any actual "news" content, rather speaks for itself.

Isn’t delusion wonderful?
To be totally clueless but think ones self in control.
If not for example one would think Mr. Assange would not even be here.
Interesting how we enjoy the toys we are given to play with. But don’t forget when the play time is over we take our toys and go home.

would you say this episode is not inviting enough to the average person? I think it lights up a door many did not know exist... your mission, should you choose to accept it (accept, lol bttw, soab) is to find the right [pgp?] key to open it; on the other side: real freedom
