"... Let me begin by counter-posing two different conceptions of democracy. One conception of democracy has it that a democratic society is one in which the public has the means to participate in some meaningful way in the management of their own affairs and the means of information are open and free....
An alternative conception of democracy is that the public must be barred from managing of their own affairs and the means of information must be kept narrowly and rigidly controlled. That may sound like an odd conception of democracy, but it’s important to understand that it is the prevailing conception..."

Further to the blog from Anonymous, the YouTube video, “Anonymous - OpOccupyWallStreet V 2” (where Noam Chomsky speaks about Civil Disobedience) may be of interest.

Outstanding interview! Compare this to what passes for journalism by the likes of Wolf Blitzer on American media.

..."The US wants to be the new Roman Empire but they miss something quite important. Education and justice. The Romans were lucky to be educated on these matters by the Great Greeks, The US citizens are educated on these matters by MTV and CocaCola"...

Bravo!! Please mix your audio during interviews so the translation is slightly above the guests statement otherwise the two voices cancel each other out. Some one has to ride the volume to get it right. But the look of the shows set up is good in my view. So inspired that you are providing the voice we need. Thanks for taking the risk and having the courage.

Brilliant interview style - not talking over the guest and listening patiently to what he had to say. The questions were thought provoking and certainly didn’t hold back from being contraversial. I do like Julian Assange and think he has plenty to say that the world should listen to. It will be interesting to see who his next guests are. By the way - Russia Today newsite is a far better view of the world! Well done for giving him a chance to bring something better to our screens !!
