Hearing Nasrallah first hand is the first step to dialogue - but does he really want it?
JA disappointed - questions were not probing, and answers went completely unchallenged.
For instance; Nasrallah excused the brutal Syrian regime violence by pointing at the war being brought by the regime’s opposition allegedly without any interest in dialogue.
But the contradiction that he also bemoaned Israeli actions to defend against Hezbulla initiated violence went unchallenged.
The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is Hezublla’s raison d’etre. It was a missed opportunity to challenge Nasrallah’s predictable statements to understand the limits of his position, and willingness to look inward as well as outward.
Unfortunately we did not gain any insight if Hezbulla can be a force for peace - or simply a catalyst for increasing regional violence.

The last point raised in this interview upsets in that I reject the argument for a god. But I say good luck to Hezbollah in its fight against the occupation.

Watched your show without any audio problems on the web in Switzerland. The most revealing / informative segment for me was JA’s rightly provocative question about fundamentalist religious beliefs - and Nasrallah’s apparently honest response. As the old Chinese philosopher Lao Tse said, "The truth that can be spoken is not the Truth", and "Once the whole is divided, the parts need names." Such understanding is essential for humankind’s future, but obviously difficult for those who imagine that anyone could possibly have a monopoly on the truth. The map is not the territory...
