This was pretty interesting for me as I never could imagine Z. and H. being on a show together. I dunno how many have actually read these guys, but from my reading of both of their works, they definitely are more thoughtful and have more cogent rationale and factual back-up than their intended or unintended persona’s give them credit for. I almost got the feeling that they were both acting the part in some ways, H, more so than Z., which is disappointing. It’s as if H. is just too lazy to actually listen and think and then speak or admit that he doesn’t know. Z, at least was more thoughtful and compassionate in his approach and take on things. I’d be mad too if I had to try to slog through a discussion on the human predicament with someone who just threw verbal rocks the whole time without even reflecting. Z. came across as the more human of the two, but just as entrenched in the semantic shrine that has gotten him his "bad boy intellectual" persona, fame, etc. I also agree about the left/right stuff. It is a mental rat-race, seemingly designed to keep EVERYBODY who has the luxury to devote time to discussing ideas and whatnot, in a fruitless, draining, mental tennis match. It’s boring, and predictable. You can almost recite what each "side" is going to say before their beloved spokespersons open their mouths.

Julian,

Please please interview Charles Eisenstein!

The author of Ascent of Humanity and Sacred Economics. While its entertaining to get two people who have seemingly opposite viewpoints, they barely are scratching the surface of the actual problem. All they end up doing is regurgitating common terms and arguing over semantics and definitions of these terms. Its just hot air.

Charles strikes at the very heart of all these issues. These issues are just symptoms of the same problem. Please get Charles Eisenstein!

Horowitz is a clown... A dangerous extremist clown, who knows nothing about history or about foreign countries and barely knows a thing about his own country. You can’t have a reasonable discussion with someone who will call communist anybody who disagrees with him. He even calls Obama a communist depite Obama being Wall Street’s puppet. And he talks about Latin America’s dictatorships as if they were not put in power by USA ! Is this guy for real? The guy probably is a Fox-News viewer and as studies have showed : people getting their news from Fox are less informed than people who don’t care to get any news from any sources at all (incredible but true!)

Horowitz: "war is the natural state of man". This guy has no knowledge at all of the anthropological records gathered during the last century.
